A big thank you to the Goalkeeper Centre of Excellence

Dave and Paul… We’re not sure where to start with our thanks in regard to what you have done for Riley but we do know that it’s time to ensure you are well and truly acknowledged for the training and advice you’ve given him since he decided he’d like to try and become a goalkeeper a few years ago. Looking for something different he came to you as a good out player with a passion for the game and you assessed and developed him rapidly. He loved the new challenge mainly because of the positive and experienced coaching environment you both provided.
This year he is moving on with a full NTC scholarship after a great 2012 with the Balcatta u14 premier team and some u18 NTC games. We have to thank you for helping him to a stage that he’s made the WA state team for the last two years. To top it off, in January this year, after a tour of uk clubs, he got a call back from a couple of English Premier League clubs for a week of trials. The feedback from the trials has been very positive and as you can imagine it was the ‘most brilliant week!’ of Riley’s life.
Whatever direction he goes in the game we just want to sincerely thank you for what you did for him with his transition to a keeper and the great experiences he’s had at such a young age…all because he wanted to become a keeper! We share his deep respect for you personally and as coaches…it is not always an easy job.
Kind regards Gary and Sandy Stephenson
